found that consumers are now buying more things online than in stores.

As things progress in that fashion so does online fraud became more common but unlike in a store when you can go physically there, Online is much harder to track the perpetrators. So how can you defend your self online?

First of all always choose a company that you heard of before or a well known company like amazon, eBay etc.

Check reviews online always see what other consumers have to say about that merchant. (Check your sources, online marketing is very common on review sites).

Make sure that the site is protected by ssl you will see it on your browser as:

Do not place your card information in a place that does not have – PCI DSS
